Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in Ukraine: Q3 2022 Performance

In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on iOS in Ukraine showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into these trends and more.

Google Maps had a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 39.4K in early August. However, downloads saw a general decline towards the end of the quarter, falling to around 20.1K by late September. The app maintained a high number of weekly active users, starting at 1.58M in late June but experiencing a gradual decrease to 1.45M by the end of September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic also showed consistent performance. Weekly downloads ranged from about 5.4K to 7.5K, with a peak in mid-August. Active users saw some fluctuations, starting at 276.6K in late June, peaking at 286.8K in late August, and ending the quarter at 249.7K.

2GIS: Offline Map & Navigation had a more modest download rate, with weekly downloads hovering between 1.7K and 2.9K. The number of active users started at 68.9K and ended at 56.3K, showing a slight downward trend over the quarter.

MAPS.ME: Offline Maps, GPS Nav experienced steady but relatively lower weekly downloads, ranging from 1.4K to 2.3K. Active users for the app were relatively stable, starting at 8.2K and ending at 7.4K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter. The app also generated modest weekly revenue, peaking at $76 in the final week of September.

Lastly, Google Earth showed consistent performance with weekly downloads ranging from 1.4K to 2.2K. Active users started at 7K in late June and remained relatively stable, ending at 6.8K by the end of September.
